The Kid In Me

So as you all know, we recently asked you to go back to your roots and be childish for our ‘’The Kid In Me’’ competition. We said, and I quote- ‘’ We want you to re-capture the kid inside of you and come up with a self-portrait titled ‘The Kid In Me’. An old photo, a finger painting, a paper mache creation, anything will do.’’

So far, we’ve had some great, imaginative entries, a lot of which have made us cry with laughter. But, you know us, we want so many entries that there aren’t enough hours in the day to go through them, enough to snow John Snow under! There’s loads of ideas floating around for this comp, the possibilities are endless and as much as we would love to tell you we might have to… well then it wouldn’t be a competition!

Think – locations, what kids do, nostalgia, a play-on-words even!

As long as it’s you in the picture or an impression of you, it’s fine by us! This competition goes along side the Face Britain campaign which PhotoBox breathed life into, and what better way to celebrate this massive feat from the countries’ kids than to get the adults involved? Genius, right?!

Just to give you a leg up, we’ve extended the deadline for entries to Midnight Thursday 26th April. Remember- Post your entries to OUR Facebook wall Max 2 entries, NO googling and a fab prize to the winner!  :)

I am posting this here in the hope that orders are also frustrated with this change in your systems.

I quite regularly order sets 0f 500-1000 prints for customer proof prints. I batch process them so they are in order by file name and upload them in that order. They appear in the correct order in my albums.

SO WHY WHEN I RECEIVE MY PRINT ORDERS NOW DOES IT LOOK LIKE SOMEONE HAS SHUFFLED EACH PACK OF PHOTOS ???????

They used to be in the correct order (all be it back to front) and all I had to do to box them up for clients was to reverse them which took about 5 minutes.

Now I have to spend several hours looking at each number I have printed on the photos border and placing it in the correct order. This is a major task and a proper PIA when the numbers jump all over the place like they do now.

I have just boxed up 835 photos and it took me over 2 hours to work all the way through them getting them into the right order.

What has changed ??? and if you cant put it back to how it was I will be ordering from someone else in future because I don’t have 4 hours to sit there sorting each pack with a random order you send me into the right order like it used to be!

    Hi
I have just spent about 7 hours uploading photos to make 6 books.
I now find I can’t edit them as piknik or whatever it is has disappeared.
Why then does your site still display “edit with piknik?”
What a load of numpties you are.

I love this idea…. i work for a company in Buenos Aires called Foto Ruta, we often give kids our cameras and see what they come back with. Often the photos are really creative! http://foto-ruta.com/a-kid-from-la-bocas-taken-my-camera/
